Last November, Roswell police were alerted about an apparently abandoned backpack on an Atlanta-area walking trail. Among the contents of the backpack were…
Homemade bombs, a copy of the Quran, an Atlanta Falcons schedule and directions to Atlanta’s Jewish Community Center. There was also a t-shirt with the name “Mina Khodari” written on it.
Michael C. Sibley, of Roswell, Georgia, was arrested for this. Not a Muslim. He said his reason for planting a Quran is because he’s a patriot. And I agree with him. He truly is. After all, this country was built upon a lie and a tendency to scapegoat. It is on land that doesn’t actually belong to us, and built by slaves. And yet to “be American” is to be a white Christian with European values. He wrote Mina Khodari on it because, he said, it “sounded foreign.” Blaming “foreigners” is ironic since that’s what we actually are here on this land.
…he felt that no one is paying attention to the world, and if someone found the explosive device they would understand that a bomb could be placed anywhere, according to the criminal complaint.
Oh, we’re paying attention, Michael. That’s why we know that you fucknuts are the craziest of all. We know people who call themselves patriots are some of the worst of the worst, who play victims, who pretend that your world is being taken from you.
We are not amused, Michael. And we’re glad to be taking the world back from you. Your kind. Your crazy. And returning it to the rest of the world. So enjoy your time in prison. I’m sure your cellmates will appreciate your patriotism, and will happily have you stand at half-mast for them.
And I hope they’re Muslim, and fill you with holy goodness. Thank’s for serving your country… with another example of why it needs to wake up to its own stupidity.
